SharePoint to Yammer and back to SharePoint

Hi,

I am trying to create a FLOW to do the following.

When a new item is created from a SharePoint list

-> Post a message to yammer

-> Update the list item just created to add a link to the Web Url for the post just created.

The SharePoint list is a Request For Information list and the content owner wants to be able to track the number of days the request has been open.  I can do this all in SharePoint, but I thought utlizing Yammer for the discussion portion of each request would be a better experiance.

This is what I have so far in Flow:

The first two steps execute with now problems.  When it gets to the "when there is a new message to a group" step it sits there and waits.  The only way i have been able to get this step to move along is go into the group feed in Yammer and make a post.  At which piont the, the flow continues and i get the desired result with the only execption being that the link to the actual post thread is for the one I manually added instead of the one that Flow created.

Any help with this one would be great!!

I found what I was doing wrong.  I did not need the step of "when there is a new message in a group".  I removed that step and was able to get my desired result where the SharePoint item that was added got updated with a link to the converstaion that got started from the "Post message" action.

Hi @AdamHelbing,

Could you please share about how you add the "when there is a new message in a group" After the post message action?

Based on what I know,  trigger action can't be added after the post message action.

I think here you may need to create two different flow.

One For the SharePoint to Yammer, and the other for Yammer to SharePoint.

In this way, it should work.

Regards
