The requested operation is invalid. Server Response: Invalid value...for field...,expected a string

I'm getting follwing error when creating a new record.

The requested operation invalid. Server Response: Invalid value '1520531853198' for field 'CreateDateTime', expected a string.

CreatedDateTime is a field that is supposed to contain a DateTime value of Now() in the Update field.

For some reason, my database seems to think that this field should be a string.

The database is an Excel spreadsheet.

I've tried

  • disconnecting the data source,
  • deleting the tab in Excel containing the table
  • changing the table to a range and then recreating the table in Excel,
  • changing the column to "Number" instead of "General" in Excel, and then
  • reconnecting the data source to PowerApps.

It didn't work.

Re: The requested operation is invalid. Server Response: Invalid value...for field...,expected a str

Hi @ YEGdev,

Could you please share a screenshot of the configuration of your flow?

Could you please share more details about the Excel?

Do you want to insert a row to an excel table?

What is the “Update field” that you mentioned?

Please share more details to me so I could try to help you.

Regards,
Alice Zhang
