The Flow is manually triggered. Then there is a Get rows action. I have a connector to my OneDrive for Business. I choose the file namefrom the list of files in my OneDrive. Then I choose the table name from the next drop down.
Then, to consume the rows from the Excel table I have an Apply to each action which includes a SharePoint Create Item action. In the Creat item action, the names of the columns appears as choices in the Dynamic content from the Get rows.
At run time, the Get rows action fails with a "Failed to read metadata from file source." error.
Hi RKushner,
Thanks for feedback.
I can reproduce this issue on my side.
According to your description, I create a similar flow to test this issue. When using the connector OneDrive for Business, the flow will return the error message “Failed to read metadata from file source”.
While when testing with Dropbox, the flow runs successfully.
I will help confirm this issue on my side and back to you later.
Best regards,
Mabel Mao
HI,
I am having the same issue. May I ask what the solution was?
I have the same issue most days with an "Insert Row" action for an excel file in my one drive. Sometimes it is a matter of the connector disconnecting for whatever reason, sometimes there is not a reason I can think of.
