x-ms-visibility error in custom connector

Trying to update a custom connector today that I've been using for several months with no issues.  When I click 'Update connector', I get this error message:

Specified swagger failed validation: '/[PATH]/get/responses/default/schema/properties/value/items/properties/[MORE PATH]/x-ms-visibility : The type of the property is incorrect. Expected type 'String', but value is of type 'Null'.'

So the problem appears to be in my default response schema, so I track down the item and check the visibility.  It's set to 'none'.  I change it to 'advanced', and click update again.  Same error message, but now it's pointing to the next token in the response body.

At this point I download the swagger definition and open it in a text editor.  I see that there are many, many properties in the response schema that have the x-ms-visibility set to null.

I wonder what could have happened, and so I pull up a backup I made several months ago.  In the backup, there are also many properties with the x-ms-visitility set to null, but I've never had an issue before today.

So has something changed in Flow?  Why are x-ms-visibility null values suddenly causing problems?

Re: x-ms-visibility error in custom connector

I think I found a fix, or at least a work-around.

I just ran a Find-Replace on the swagger file that I downloaded.  I replaced any instance of ("x-ms-visibility": nul) with ("x-ms-visibility": "none").  Then I went to my connector, clicked the three dots and selected Update from OpenAPI file.  So far, it seems to be working.

Still interested to know why this happened, and if it is affecting others.  I built this connector from scratch (not by importing an OpenAPI file), so all of those null values were set by Flow itself, not by me.

Re: x-ms-visibility error in custom connector

Hi @Jronash ,

I'm afraid that the check for the property is added in microsoft flow now and your workaround to set the property to none instead of leave it to be null is perfect.
