AutoFill in Text input

Hi,

I've got a contacts list where we have tried to remove last name field but because it is the original title field it won't delete. So I've tried to hide the box but off course it is a required field so what I need the powerapp to somehow do is to automatically fill in a word "Hello" or something like this so i can hide the field in the power app.

Does anyone know how to do this? tried add rule but it doesn't look like its available for this so a bit stuck

Any help be appreciated.

Re: AutoFill in Text input

Hi,

Did you trying setting the default value? Usually the datacard box will have a "Default" option. It is normally set to parent.default but you can simply put in whatever text you would like if I'm not mistaken.

Or another thing you could maybe that may be a little tedious if you have multiple fields, is to use try the patch function instead of submitting the form. That way you can simply type in what you want the value for the title field to be. Here's some info on the "Patch" function: Documentation on the Patch Function

Let me know if that works or not or if you have any questions!

Kind regards,

Ben

Re: AutoFill in Text input

Hi,

Instead of parent.default I changed it to ID and seems to have done the trick now accepts that as automatic input and doesn't ask for something to be filled in.

Thanks

Brenden
