Building a contact power app

Hi Experts,

i'm organizing my projects in teams channels. The Wiki, files and chat is default provided.

I know how to list to a library within sharepoint.

It would be of a help to have a power app where i can store and lookup contact details of the project members (inparticular the external ones). I created a list and built a powerapp but it does not embed all data fields.

Also the search function only works for the first field.

So having a search on contact name is not possible.

Is the Power App ide limited?

thanks for your expert answer

Re: Building a contact power app

What data source are you actually using in the PowerApp to store the contact information you input?  Depending on how you are storing the actual data you should be able to create a Search function taht will work with any field.

Re: Building a contact power app

Hi @dzeegers ,

Could you tell me

1)what's your data source?

2)what data type of the fields that are not be embed?

3)the formula about search function?

Different data type need different settings in PowerApps.

Here's a doc about how to use some complex data type from SharePoint:

The syntax of Search is : Search( Table, SearchString, Column1 [, Column2, ... ] )

You could set the columnnames to first column or second column or other clolumns.

But please note that some complex data type need to make some changes to the original formula.
