Can not empty dropdown field after field has been selected using SQL

Hi,

I have issues to empty a not required dropdownfield which has been selected before.

I already changed to property 'AllowEmptySelection' to true.

It is a lookup field from the Customers table.

I assume using a combobox would solve the issue because there you have the cross to empty.

But I guess there should be another solution for dropdown fields?

How can I empty the field? Thanks!

If you want the option to select nothing you will need to change it to a combo box. That is one of the deciding factors for me when using a Dropdown or a Combobox.

Also, that Combobox allows for searching and Dropdown does not.

Hi @ThomasVDS

If you want the Dropdown's default as blank, you can try the next workaround.

Add one Button, Button.OnSelect=ClearCollect(dropdownwithblank,{Value:" "});Collect(dropdownwithblank,Choices(DataSource.lookupColumnName))

Dropdown.Items=dropdownwithblank.Value

Best Regards.

Thank you for your help.

I solved it by using the combobox.
