When you create a Canvas app and therefore the owner of the app, the app when submitting an item to the SharePoint list will create the item as the owner of the PowerApp.
Is there a way to make the owner of the item the person who has submitted the form in the app and not the owner.
I know i could create another field and get the user().email value, but looking for another way to do this.
Do you want the creator of the item of your SP list to be the user (other users in your Organization) who submit the form (Edit form within your app)?
Do you share this app with other users within your Organization?
If you want the creator of the item of your SP list to be the user (other users in your Organization) who submit the form (Edit form within your app), you must share this app with other users within your Organization.
In addition, the other users should also have enough permission (e.g. the member of your SP Site) to access your SP list (the data source within your app).
When the other users (within your Org) open this shared app, and then submit a new item, the creator/owner of this new created item within your SP list would be the other users.
Note: Currently, you could not share an app with an external user (who is not within your Organization).
