Date Format in Teams

Hello everybody,

i have a problem with a PowerApp that I've created recently.

In the PowerApp is a DateTable, which shows different dates based on a SharePoint list. In my browser the date is shown correctly but as soon as I'm opening the PowerApp within Teams (the PowerApp is pinned in the register above) the locale is set to English (I'm from Germany if you haven't guessed it already according to my language Smiley Wink ).

This means, that the date is shown in the wrong format. Is there any way to set the locale manually or to set the locale from Teams?

Thanks in advance

Hello @v-monli-msft,

thank you for your answer.

PowerApps picks up this setting from the Windows Setting.

The Windows / Teams language settings are all correctly set.

You could try to override using the Text function, for example:

Text(Today(),”[$-en-US]dd/mm/yyyy”)

 For more information about using PowerApps functions please see:
https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/formula-reference/
The Text function specifically can be found here:
https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/function-text/

Unfortunaly the text function isn't usable in datatables.

But I found a workaround:

I've changed the format in the SharePoint List I'm getting my data from, from "Date & Time" to "Single Text Line" and voilà the format is correct.
