Edit form not showing data

Hi,

I've tried to search the database but can't find an answer to help me fix this issue.

I have customised the PowerApp from standard List option to custmise the new and edit.

I have created 2 views, a new form and an edit form and they are correctly displayed when either the "new" button pressed of the "edit" button is pressed.

WMy issue is that when I click on edit, it does not pull through the existing data for me to edit.

The fields are all empty when it should already populated.

Please help as I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Attached is the pic of what I mean.

Re: Edit form not showing data

Hi @Lisan ,

Do you mean when you click the edit, you can not edit the selected one?

Could you please check whether your customize form's items:

If(IsBlank(SharePointIntegration.Selected) || IsEmpty(SharePointIntegration.Selected),First('2090321editform'),SharePointIntegration.Selected)

Or are your customized forms all have this issue?

Could you please try to clear cache or cookies or change another browser to test?

Hope this could be helpful.

Best Regards.

Yumia

Re: Edit form not showing data

Hi @Lisan ,

The most common reason for the behaviour that you are observing is that the default form mode is set to New and the command that opens the form omits the function EditForm(YourFormName), and/or that the Item property of the form is blank.  As @v-yuxima-msft  says, the item property of the form must reference a record in  your data source.

Re: Edit form not showing data

Thanks for quick response Yumia.

I have added the formula into the Item of the EditForm but it is saying that the formula is incorrect.

Is it due to the "||" in the formula?

I have checked and I have changed the form default mode to Edit.

The correct form opens, but the data is not populated.

Re: Edit form not showing data

It works now, I used the form name rather than the list name .

THanks for your help
