Equipment approval app

Thank you all for your time!.

I want to create an app that gives the option to our staff to request equipment.

They select from a small list of items (laptop, desktop, smartphone etc..) what they need and the app should send an email for approval to their supervisor.

The supervisor should connect to the app to approve the request.

Then a second email will be send to the Head of the department for a second approval.

After the two approvals the app will send an email with all the information.

All info should also be tracked.

Any ideas/guides/help is much appreciated.

Re: Equipment approval app

Hi @DarkLord22 ,

Do you have a subscription of Microsoft Flow? Your scenario could be easily achieved using Microsoft Flow.

What’s the data source you are using?

Let’s say you are using SharePoint list, so I have created a flow likes below for your scenario, please check the following image for a reference.

The following doc would be helpful:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/flow/all-assigned-must-approve

If you want the supervisor and head of the department approve the request from PowerApps, please consider using the connector Office 365 Outlook.

On the app, add buttons for each approver with functions like below:

Office365.SendEmail("test4@xxxxx.onmicrosoft.com","Please response to the request","Details")

More details about PowerApps Office 365 Outlook connector, please check the following doc:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/connections/connection-office365-outloo...

Please feel free post back if you need more help.

Best regards,

Mabel

Re: Equipment approval app

Thank you Mabel Mao,

Yes i have a subscription and i am using sharepoint/ M. flow

Your guidelines are really helpfull.

My other issue is how i can store all this data so the staff can login at the app and see their requests/aprovals.

Not sure how i can send the data from flow back to power apps.

Thank you
