FaceAPI - send an image to FaceAPI to detect face

I'm trying to use FaceAPI in my PowerApp. I want to take a picture from camera and send it to FaceAPI to detect FaceID.

I'm not able to send the picture as FaceAPI.Detect method expects a URL. How do we acoomplish this task?

Can anyone help, please?

Re: FaceAPI - send an image to FaceAPI to detect face

Hi @Satishbarnala,

I have found a very detailed blog talking about creating a PowerApp which would capture an anonymous image using the camera control, then use FaceAPI from Azure Cognitive Services to validate the image against all images stored against Dynamics 365 contacts, and finally respond with the contact’s first name, last name and student number, if a match was found. Please take a look and try if this works for you following the steps.

Facial Recognition using Dynamics 365, PowerApps and FaceAPI

Re: FaceAPI - send an image to FaceAPI to detect face

Hi Mona,

Thanks for your response.

I have already gone through the blogs you mentioned. They involve AppService, Azure storage and lengthy process. As PowerApps has direct connection with FaceAPI, I think there should be a simpler way to send an image to the methods exposed from FaceAPI such as, Detect. Let us see if someone can help.
