Help with feedback questionnaire

Hi

I am looking to create a questionnaire, where users can provide feedback on what they think of the app. Once users have typed in responses, I have made an e-mail flow, so that the answers go to my e-mail address. The only issue I am having is getting the check box in the screenshot to work properly. Ideally I would like the check box to return 'yes' if it has been selected and 'no' if it has not. At the minute it is only returning 'true' or 'false' (an example of the e-mail I have formatted can be seen in the attached screenshot named 'email'). I have currently set up the following code, and I have not written anything in the 'OnCheck/UnCheck' sections, just OnSelect.

Thanks

Linecheckfeedbackbutton.Run(StarsGiven.Value,FBCheckboxYes,MoreDetailsText.Text)

Re: Help with feedback questionnaire

Just pass the True or False value to the Flow and then use an If/then statement in the flow to convert that to a Yes/No value stored in a Variable.  Then you can use the Variable in your email text.

Re: Help with feedback questionnaire

Hi

Apologies, I'm new to PowerApps and I'm a little unsure of what you mean by this. Would it be possible to explain in a little more detail?

Thanks

Re: Help with feedback questionnaire

It looks like your Run() is already passing the value of the checkbox to Flow as your second parameter.  So in Flow add an Initialize Variable action of type string towards the top of the flow and set its value equal to something like this:

If(triggerBody()['Initializevariable_Value'],'Yes','No')

The variable name will be different, but it should be whatever PowerApps variable you are using in the email that results in True or False.  This will store Yes or No in this variable based on whether True or false is passed in from the checkbox.  Then just use this variable in your email in place of the value that was passed in as a parameter.

Re: Help with feedback questionnaire

Hi

Thanks for the help. I've written the following in the value section of the variable. Is this correct? It still doesn't seem to work for me

Thanks

If(triggerBody()['FBCheckboxYes_Value'],'Yes','No')

Re: Help with feedback questionnaire

That looks correct.  After doing that did you also edit the email you are sending to substitute that variable for 'FBCheckboxYes_Value' in the body of the email?

Also, did you just type it in the value section or enter it using the Function expression tab in dynamic content dialog? It won't work right if you just type it into the value box.  You need to enter it as an expression and then insert that into the value.

Re: Help with feedback questionnaire

Thanks, I originally copied and pasted the code straight into the value, but I've removed it and put it into an expression instead. I've also added the expression to my e-mail. Is what I've done in the screenshot correct? Also, is there anything else I need to do after I've done this?
