Import a screen into an existing PowerApp

Friends,

I would like to re-use a screen that I put hours into creating into a different, and existing, powerapp.  Are there some import/export functions out there, so I dont need to re-create a screen from the start?

Thank you.

Re: Import a screen into an existing PowerApp

Hi @martinav,

As of now, you can copy the controls from one app to another app. There are few limitation to it such as copying screens, data sources, and referenced controls is not supportedCopy and pasting of screens across apps is currently not available.

Re: Import a screen into an existing PowerApp

Hi @martinav,

Do you want to export a screen from an app and then import it into another screen?

If you want to export a screen from an app and then import it into another existing app, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/PowerApps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas

As an alternative solution, you could consider take a try to create an app which only contains one screen that you mentioned, then export this app as a package file. If you want to reuse this screen, please take a try to create an app using the package file.

More details about Exporting and Importing an app with packaging, please check the following article:

Exporting and Importing app with packaging

Re: Import a screen into an existing PowerApp

I accept as solution, but it really isnt complete.  So much investment goes into formatting a screen.  We need to be able to use those in other apps.
