Issue creating PowerApp for SharePoint calendar

Hi all, i am having an issue creating powerapp for sharepoint calendar. I have created a calendar app in Sharepoint online and tried to create a power app "from data" and chose SharePoint. I connected to my SharePoint site and enetered the display name of the calendar. I then click the  "Connect" button and get the following error.

"Error creating app from data

Something went wrong while creating your app, Please try again.

Unable to get property 'tableName' of undefined or null reference"

I have searched this error and did not get any hits that were relevant. I have tested with another calendar app i created on the same site with no customisations and also tested on another site, creating a calender app with no customisations. I get the same error in all cases. I can also create a powerapp with no issues when i choose a "normal" custom list.

Any help sorting this out would be approeciated.

Cheers,

Re: Issue creating PowerApp for SharePoint calendar

Hi @MickBanlaw ,

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I have made a test, and the issue is confirmed on my side.

I would post this issue to my product team, if the issue is solved, I would reply here.

I'm having the exact same issue. (And actually have had it for about 4 weeks now)

Re: Issue creating PowerApp for SharePoint calendar

Is it a calendar using the web part...where the items are on a SharePoint list? I have several that I show in PowerApps that are in the calendar view and are pulling from a SharePoint list....a lot of fields to change but it can be done.

Or is it using the Task List or Group Calendar?

Re: Issue creating PowerApp for SharePoint calendar

Hi, no it is a normal SharePoint calendar, not a web part or a custom list

Re: Issue creating PowerApp for SharePoint calendar

I think i have found the issue. The calendar was on a classic team site. I migrated to a new "modern" team site and i could create a powerapp. I was able to create a powerapp using a normal list on the classic team site but not with a calendar app.

Edit* Sorry called this too early. I added a blank powerapp and manually added the data source as the SharePoint calendar. The data source was accepted without error but there were no field to choose from. I added the powerapps staring at the data source and that failed with the same error. (Using amodern team site)

Re: Issue creating PowerApp for SharePoint calendar

Hi Kris, is there an update on this?

I too, am trying to create a Scheduler PowerApp and am receiving the error. Is there a workaround for it at least?

Thanks,

Jana
