New user, create caluclations`?

Hey

I am new to powerapps and have previously only worked a bit in Access and Excel creating apps.

Now i want to test Powerapps and see if i can create a simple calculation of a few textbox inputs.

I have 3 textboxes.

t1

t2

t3

In textbox t3 i want to calculate the sum of t1 and t2 values that the user inputs.

I just simply dont know the formula to type into the t3 textbox.

Tried using excel commands like =t1+t2 but that wont work Smiley Happy

So any ideas of how to do this?

Re: New user, create caluclations`?

In PowerApps you don't use "=". Also TextBox is an component (object) so you should access its specific attribute in this case. This should work:

t1.Text + t2.Text

but if you turn on experimental error handling feature then you could create simple input validation:

IfError(Text(Value(t1.Text) + Value(t2.Text)), "Not a number")
