PowerApps with MSSQL for hundreds of people

Hi,

Do you have any experience with deploying and creating PowerApps Application for approximately 1000 people? I mean that I would like to create an application with MSSQL or PGSQL database for that amount of people.

Is there any limitations with connections to MSSQL from PowerApps? Or that's only limitations related with MSSQL limitations? Everyday most of people will use this application what can cause a huge traffic.

Re: PowerApps with MSSQL for hundreds of people

Hi @JohnLambert ,

Currently, within PowerApps, there is a limit on the API calls per SQL Server connection 10 seconds Renewal period. You could only send 800 API calls from PowerApps to your SQL Server at most in 10 seconds. Please check the following article for more detials:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/sql/#throttling-limits

In addition, there are also some other known limits within SQL Server connector in PowerApps, please check the following article:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/sql/#known-issues-and-limitations

Hello @JohnLambert ,

In the described situation, the limitation will be on the backend (SQL Server) and not frontend (your application connectors).

Hope this helps.

Hi.

Thanks for reply @v-xida-msft !

This limitations 800 connections per 10 seconds for SQL Server is counted per SQL Connector or per database connect?

Re: PowerApps with MSSQL for hundreds of people

Do someone knows if in that case of application, Azure SQL and PowerApps for Office 365 licenses for all users will be enough? Or there are maybe some license that are required also?
