Powerapp 'submit form' not updating Azure SQL Database table.

All,

I'm working on my first PowerApp so I'm sure I'm missing something easy. For my first attempt, I'm trying to create

an app that will read records from an Azure SQL Database table and then allow you to edit the fields and update the table. I am able to pull the data from the table successfully and submit the form successfully, or so it appears but the data does not actually get updated in the database. I would appreciate any help in figuring out why the data does not get updated.

Figure 3 - Data NOT updated in the database

Please let me know what other details you might need to help me with this issue.

Thank you!

Re: Powerapp 'submit form' not updating Azure SQL Database table.

Hi Yashag,

Thank you for replying. I think my issue was because I did not have a Primary Key defined on the table originally. Once I added a PK and created a new screen and Edit Form, the Update Property was displayed when it was not previously showing up.

My app is now working as desired. Thanks for pointing me in the direction of looking for Update Property and then finding another post here explaining that I needed a PK on the table in order for it to show up.

Hi @markferguson

Can you verify that the Update property of all your data cards corresponds to the correct control value?

Also, can you share the query that you have used in the submit button?

Thanks
