Sharepoint List Attachment Erroring

I'm creating a V2 of a receipt submission project I had in 2018. The system was set up so that each card holder would upload their receipts to an individual specific Sharepoint List, then the receipts get matched to a transaction that gets imported to a separate List from what we get from our bank.

In version 2 I'm uniting all users into a single app (before each user had a dedicated app for a dedicated list). Card holders will navigate to a list of buttons for each Card Holder (only visible by an if statement on the O365User Connection). When you select a user it navigates to a gallery and sets a variable to that card holder's List as the datasource. Everything loads super quick and works between most users (1 Exception that I think is more of a List setup issue).

The only issue is going into a detail/edit screen its coming up with an error on the Attachement field.

<Name isn't vaild. This identifier isn't recognized. This error appears most commonly when a formula refers to something that no longer exists (for example, a control that you've deleted)./>

I have the Default set to - ThisItem.'{Attachments}'

Let me know if there is a way to fix this.

Re: Sharepoint List Attachment Erroring

I wasn't using the ThisItem.'{Attachements}'

I tried both the ThisItem.Attachements and ThisItem.'Attachements' without success.

I've already merged all previous data into a single Sharepoint list and rebuilt the form to that new list without any issues. I know the Attachements can be tricky but I want an app more branded app than what building it from a dataset generates.

Re: Sharepoint List Attachment Erroring

What you have should be the correct Default for the DataCard and then Parent.Default as the Default on the DataCardValue.

When I have one like that I can't seem to figure out I usually just delete the card and put it back...that is what I would suggest.

Re: Sharepoint List Attachment Erroring

I rebuilt the screen with no success.

I tried duplicating the screen for each user and setting variables to handle the navigation and form controls [NewForm, ResetForm]. I even tried to set the nav/form functions inside the variable to be called up at a later screen.

Screen 1: Welcome

Screen 2: Canvas of Button - 1 button per card holder - this is where I set the per user datasource and tried to set the forms and nav

Screen 3: Gallery - Easily pulls the filter list from the variable datasource - variable nav wont take you thru to the individual screens (each set with the users datasource)

Screen 4: Form - Toggels between view & edit super easily - when using the variable in the datasource it won't load the Attachements field - I set it back to a single datasource the error goes away.

I home there is a way. Please let me know if there would be a way to get this attachement field to pull like all the others with a changing datasource.

Re: Sharepoint List Attachment Erroring

The error is only being generated on the Attachement's field. I went ahead and set up a new list and assigned the unique ID to each card holder to keep them all separate. Now to move all previous receipts and adjust each of my flow's that would match receipts to the bank transactions.

I appreciate any help I received!

Re: Sharepoint List Attachment Erroring

Hi @crf200 ,

Based on the error message that you mentioned, it seems to tell that there is something wrong with the column name you typed after the ThisItem operator.

I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. The screenshot as below:6.JPG

Set the Default property of the Attachments Data card to following:

ThisItem.Attachments

On your side, please consider take a try to modify your formula as below:

ThisItem.Attachments /* <--rather than ThisItem.'{Attachments}' */

In addition, please consider take a try to re-generate an app based on your SP list data source, then check if the issue still exists.

Also please make sure you have enabled the "Attachments" field functionality within your SP list.
