Unable to Filter Gallery with ComboBox, data from SharePoint Choices Column

Hi All,

I am attempting to filter a gallery with a combo box.

The source data is a SharePoint list called 'Test List' that contains a number of different column types. The column I am trying to filter on is a choices column called 'Industry'.

I have a label in the gallery that concatenates the choices column with the following code added to the text property:

Concat(ThisItem.'Industry'.Value, Concatenate(Text(Value),", "))

I then have the following code added to the Item propery in the gallery:

Filter('Test List', Industry in ComboBox3.SelectedItems)

I populate the combo box with the following code:

Choices('Test List'.Industry)

If I attempt to filter on a simple column such as 'Title', I can get the combo box filter to work fine. The label is populated with the following code: ThisItem.Title.

However I can not get the combo box filter to work when attempting to filter on the choices column.

From my testing I am assuming the issue is with the code that is used in the label text: Concat(ThisItem.'Industry'.Value, Concatenate(Text(Value),", "))

Unsure how I can get around this?

Thanks

Re: Unable to Filter Gallery with ComboBox, data from SharePoint Choices Column

Hi @Braden ,

My understanding is that you are trying to Filter the gallery with a combo box which contains the data from a multi-choices column.

If so, then you should follow below steps to achieve this:

1. Insert a combo box control, set its Items property to:

Choices(ListName.MultiChoice)

MultiChoice is my choice column name.

2. Set the Items property of the gallery to:

Filter(ListName,
First(ComboBox1.SelectedItems) in MultiChoice &&
Last(FirstN(ComboBox1.SelectedItems,2)) in MultiChoice &&
Last(FirstN(ComboBox1.SelectedItems,3)) in MultiChoice &&
......
)

How "......" shows depends on how many options you have for this choice column.
