Using a copy of the tracker template for my app

This one might be a bit confusing.

The tracker template is a great example of what I can use for my app, so I made a copy of it.

I uploaded to excel files to it, and as I redo my version of the template, so far so good.

Then I start working with a new edit form. That's where the trouble begins.

When I try to connect my uploaded excel to an edit form, the form doesn't recognize it.  So I upload the excel table through editform, and it looked like it uploaded my file, and then the best way to describe it is that it loses the connection. As a result I can't use it because it doesn't seem to have been uploaded.

So this is stumping me why the edit form doesn't recognize my datasource that i tried to upload, but a gallery object seems to have no issues.

Totally stumped!

Help is appreciated in this!

You should start from the article below:

Understand Data forms in PowerApps

In addition to the data source proeprty, you need also configure the Item property of the Form control.

Basically, form control is used to display single record, we need to specify the record within the item property to have it display the data correctly.

Re: Using a copy of the tracker template for my app

Thanks, I'll check it out. That link is a great link to use when developing forms.

However, The edit and display form objects can't even connect to my uploaded excel tables. That's the problem.

I've attached screen prints that I hope make it clearer
