How to limit the user to create only one active record in power apps portal?

I have requirement, where a user can create only one active record in case entity through portal. 

How can i achieve this?

I would say the most stable way is to add a sync validation plugin on Dataverse side, do checks and throw an exception if there is already one active case available.

Hi @Amruthavarshini ,

you could use a fetch in the liquid of the rendering page which counts the currently active things and does not display a new form, when already one is present. Instead, it could show a (may be readonly) form or the currently existing thing.
