Dear Microsoft, first, I would like to appreciate the team who put this together helping organizations manage office requests easily and in a cost-effective way. I do have few questions and my apologies in advance for wrapping them all into one

    1. If an Organization has Microsoft 365 E3 licenses for all users, is my understanding correct that employees could use this app for reservations. Only admins and others who would like to manage facilities would need a Power Apps premium license. Am I correct?
    2.  Do you have anything on your roadmap to separate out health screening questions? This would be extremely useful as it is more deliberate, and we expect a person to read and answer each question appropriately instead of 'I Agree' for the full set of questions.
    3. Are you planning to provide any ability for organizations to link to their exiting office spaces either through Active Directory (office numbers) or custom integration to Lease software?

    Thank you so much!

    Regards,

    Sudeep

    Hi, Here's

    1. If an Organization has Microsoft 365 E3 licenses for all users, is my understanding correct that employees could use this app for reservations. Only admins and others who would like to manage facilities would need a Power Apps premium license. Am I correct?  Power Apps per user or per app licensing is required for the Return to Work solution. The solution includes the full common data service capabilities (now called Dataflex Pro) to integrate all the apps and dashboards including facility safety management (occupancy, access, capacity limits), case management & contact tracing, employee attestation and bookings, and leadership dashboards. This also provides the security groups and rules necessary to scale across an enterprise.
    2.  Do you have anything on your roadmap to separate out health screening questions? This would be extremely useful as it is more deliberate, and we expect a person to read and answer each question appropriately instead of 'I Agree' for the full set of questions.  Yes, we are looking at using Power Virtual Agents for this purpose, but primarily as a secondary screening for when the employee does not feel well. This secondary screening is useful for understand when to generate a case and organize testing.
    3. Are you planning to provide any ability for organizations to link to their exiting office spaces either through Active Directory (office numbers) or custom integration to Lease software?  Yes, the data model is documented and fully extensible to support customer built apps or other 3rd party apps. Advanced reservations or hoteling apps would fall into this category. We will align the RTW facility hierarchy to emerging industry standards such as https://ibpdi.org/

    Hi,

I tried updating the dashboards  Return to the Workplace – Location Readiness,

Return to the Workplace - Location Management and Return to the Workplace - Workplace Care Management and the solution.

I was not able to install over the existing version. SO,I installed to the new workspace. When I connected to data, I get errors.

I have attached the screenshot of the error. May I know the solution to connect to data after updating apps and solution.

    Hi @AbrahamSaldana,

It isn't published in the MS docs. Could you provide the accessibility standards verified for the RTW app?

    Thank you!

Really is NOT clear on licensing. In the docs it does say Power Apps licence is required.

That's fine. We have Power Apps in our M365 E5 licence BUT apparently that is no sufficient?

    Hi Paul,

I agree the licensing could be more clear. Under the Licensing requirements, the "See also" has a link to Licensing overview for Microsoft Power Platform. Under that topic, if you go down to the FAQ section, I think the first 3 questions help.

It looks like the M365 E5 SKU had a recent change in its app license for CDS, which is what the RTW model-driven app is built on.

you will need two licenses to host the Return to Work solution. One for Power Apps and one for Power BI.

For Power Apps, you will need either the "Per User" plan or the "Per App" plan. Choose the one that is best for your organization. Contact your Microsoft account manager if you want to find the right plan for you.  More details can be found here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/community/powerplatformlicensingforcitizendeveloper

For Power BI, you will need at least 1 or more Power BI Pro licenses for the IT team to install, modify, and/or extend the reports.  Report viewers do not need licenses.

All of these licenses can be used to create other apps or reports for your organization also.

Thanks this is helpful .. except it SEEMS like every user (staff) just using the RTW app (just to get a day pass for the office) also needs a Power Apps licence .. is this so? Seems a little extreme. All of a sudden that means I need to spend $5k plus per month to support just this app. Just doesn’t seem right.

    Am I missing something?

We wanted to let you know that today we shipped another update to the Return to the Workplace (RTW) solution (V1.2)!  This is our 3rd release since we first launched the solution on July 21.

Since there is no proven playbook to respond to a 100 year pandemic, we continue to use the advantages of low code development tools (Power Platform) combined with an extremely agile development process to adapt rapidly to emerging market requirements.

Here’s a list some of the new features we have shipped that customers are asking for …

    • Contact tracers can quickly identify related contacts using building manifests. They can also visualize linked cases (clusters) and to isolate outbreaks within facilities.
    • Case managers can now isolate active cases and temporarily remove facility access for a set period of time. Employees receive a notification in their app.
    • Facility managers can track occupancy and arrivals daily to enforce social distancing capacity limits and to monitor potential congestions in entry areas like lobbies and elevators.
    • Employees can register guests and create/share guest passes. This supports client meetings and also support teachers as they bring children to onsite childcare.
    • We have added QR codes for day passes and are working with an ISV on Surface Go powered kiosks that will check passes for validity, scan temps, and log building ingress.
