You can create new solution and add new or existing components the only one requirement is that you have in Dataverse one of the following Security Roles "System Administrator" or "System Customizer" you can find more details on the Database-Security documentation.
You can find more details about the Solutions in Solutions Overview and Create a Solution documentation links.
Hope this helps!

Is it possible to create a security role which restricts facility managers to view the employee attestations, visits, etc. for just the facilities to which they have been assigned? I was able to create a role for case managers that does this, but can't seem to replicate that for restricting facility managers to just seeing the employee data associated with their facilities only. This works from within a facility when you go to "related" in the menu, but the main left-hand navigation shows all the facilities.
We're trying to set up easier role assignments for the employee return to workplace app, using the steps outlines here: https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/canvas-powerapps-using-common-data-service-can-easily-sha...
However, that does not seem to work. Is there a simple way to grant all users the Return to the Workplace - Employee role?
We use D365 Teams that are populated based on AAD Groups.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/manage-group-teams#create-a-group-team
Then we assign the Security role to the team. It works great. We did run into one issue a few weeks ago. See my post near the bottom of page 25 of this thread for the fix.
Thanks, I have that set already. We're seeing "You don't have the proper rights to access this app. Please contact your administrator". I've confirmed the app passes are being applied and the team is getting the right role. I'm a co-owner of the app and have the role directly applied and I can't get in either now that I tried the team based approach.
Sure sounds like it is having issues at the Powerapp level and not the DataVerse level. Might be a PowerApp sharing issue. Is the app shared with the same AAD Group that you use for the D365 Team population?
Looks like something was just off in the canvas app. We edited it and resaved it and it's now working as expected, including with the team access. Thanks for the assistance!
Can you please send me a screen shot if this issue still happening, also can you please send me more details on the Security Roles and Security Groups assigned to the user and the application, most of the time, there is some side effects when reassign the security roles or groups.
You can send that information directly to my email.
Abe.
I just got this after I reply to your initial post 😁, please let me know if you continue having similar issues with the canvas app and we can help resolve!
Good to know that this is working back again!
Abe
Facilities app: I have a disconnect between what phase the BPF shows as active and what is actually active. Plus, for occupancy capacity, the app isn't allowing any bookings.
Update: Flows turned off within solution. Flows turned on.
New issue: Facility in question has disappeared from the Facilities data Table. I can still see the facility when I'm using the model-driven app, but can't 'update' the record properly nor is the record showing up within the Facilities Table.
