Patching to Calendar Item in Outlook Calendar

Hi all,

I'm working on an app to create and edit events in the user's outlook calendar. So far I've been successful in creating new calendar items, but I can't seem to overwrite/edit existing items.

I have a Gallery displaying the user's events with the items set to: Office365.CalendarGetItems("calendar").value

when they select an item, they navigate to a second screen with 3 fields:

A Text Input which is set to: Gallery1.Selected.Subject.Text

A DatePicker which is set to: Gallery1.Selected.StartDate

A DatePicker which is set to: Gallery1.Selected.EndDate

And a button with OnSelect:

Office365.CalendarPatchItem("Calendar",Gallery1.Selected.Id,EndDate.SelectedDate,StartDate.SelectedDate,Subject.Text)

It doesn't seem to show any errors, and when I click the button it seems to be doing something (loading), but it never actually updates the calendar event.

Any suggestions? I tried adding this formula before the one above: Set(varEndDate,DateAdd(EditEnd.SelectedDate,1,Seconds)) - which came out of a suggestion in this thread: Start & End Date Field Won-t Update Data Source...

But it did not help

Thanks,
Sylvie

Re: Patching to Calendar Item in Outlook Calendar

Hi @SylvieLet17 ,

You can add another button, and then Button.OnSelect:ClearCollect(test,Office365.CalendarGetItems("calendar").value)

Then Change the Gallery.Items:test

Click the button to test.

There is the update data in the Gallery.

Best Regards.

Re: Patching to Calendar Item in Outlook Calendar

Thanks Yumia!

The thing is, it's not just that the gallery is displaying the old version, the patch actually does not update the item in Outlook. I need it to update the outlook event.

Hi @SylvieLet17 ,

Do you already use Patch function or you want to use?

I do not see the Patch formula expression there.

function-patch

Best Regards.

Re: Patching to Calendar Item in Outlook Calendar

@v-yuxima-msft ,

I guess it's the Calendar Patch function:

Button.onselect: Office365.CalendarPatchItem("Calendar",Gallery1.Selected.Id,EndDate.SelectedDate,StartDate.SelectedDate,Subject.Text)
