Hi

I know im going to look stupid for this one!

I am trying to populate my title field with a ref number in another SP list based on coolumn lookup for same list!

i have given up as i have a headache now Smiley Sad

Here is where i got to

If(DataCardValue10.Selected= Course_List.course_names,Course_List.Title)

i have lost count of the variations i have tried and i even tried LOOKUP too

Course_list is the 2nd SPlist

@LRVinNC

Thanks for the response

i have solved it

So for anyone else

If you want to populate a text input based on a LookUp dropdown!

First create your lookup in another sharepoint list. mine had 2 columns

Title which was a unidue reference code and another single line text column which had a text value

On your data entry sharepoint list using a combobox  with the  LOOKUP enter the following in the ONCHANGE

UpdateContext({varName:LookUp('lookuplistname',DataCardValue#.Selected.Value exactin 'your column to match against')})  remove single quotes

Note you will get a delegation warning! Which is fine for me as it ill never be a large dataset.

Then on the text input (as mine is a form to submit value)

Default=VarName.Title

Hopefully this will help someone

Gary

Re: Populate single line text box with a Lookup from another SP list

Based on my understanding of what you are trying to do and the table and field names in your post, I think you should be able to get Title with:

Lookup(Course_List, course_names = DataCardValue10.Selected.Value).Title
