Rules based on dropdown selection

Hi, there.

I'm trying to use a formula to hide/make visible specific fields based on a selection I make in a dropdown list.

Could you please let me know what I could use? I have added a screenshot if at all helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Rules based on dropdown selection

Hi @4Workplaces

You can set the visible property of your Combobox controls as:

Monthly -> If(ServiceInternalDropdown.Select.Value = "Monthly", true, false)
Quarterly-> If(ServiceInternalDropdown.Select.Value = "Quarterly", true, false)
Yearly -> If(ServiceInternalDropdown.Select.Value = "Yearly", true, false)

Make sure that Value is the correct column from the combobox control to hold these values, if you get an error this means the column name is different, please select the appropriate column from the suggestions list.

Note: If you want to cover the spaces if one of the value is selected, then you can set the "X"/ "Y" property of these three comboboxes to hold the coordinates based on selected COmbobox control value.

Hope this Helps!

Re: Rules based on dropdown selection

Hi @4Workplaces

Set the DisplayMode of respective controls as follows:

If(ddServiceInterval.Selected.Value = "Monthly", DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.Disabled) // for Monthly date

If(ddServiceInterval.Selected.Value = "Quarterly", DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.Disabled)// for quarterly date

If(ddServiceInterval.Selected.Value = "Annually", DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.Disabled)// for annually date

Also Service Interval values are just 3 so you can also consider dropdown instead of combobox, unless there are too many records/values to be populated on search.

If you need to set the same for visible property it should be as:

If(ddServiceInterval.Selected.Value = "Monthly", true, false) // same for other 2 date controls

Thanks.
