UpdateIf() updates the records from SQL data Source but the screen always shows in Progress ....... and dots never stops showing

The scenario is we need to update the status of parent as well as child records in DB tables.

UpdateIf(data source, condition, { updated coulmns : updated values})  this works for multiple record updates very well and update records in DB very quickly but in UI the application always shows . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and it never stops. Back() never works.

Does anyone faced similar issue?

Do we have any alternate method for multiple updates ?

I had tried Patch( Filter( data Source),{updated coulmns : updated values }) but it never updates records.

Thanks & Regards,

Pr@jyot

Re: UpdateIf() updates the records from SQL data Source but the screen always shows in Progress ....... and dots never stops showing

Hello Pr@jyot,

I experienced the same issues as you. What worked for me:

  • developing a sql stored procedure
  • developing a Flow which executes the stored procedure
  • running the flow from PowerApps when needed.

Hope this helps.
