how to hide/show form

I am having one screen with one Gallery and actually one Form - 2 catagories of Info to display

For category 1 I need all fields in the form, for category 2 I need just a few of them.

I started by setting all the not needed to visible false if..... but the Form design is really not looking nice and further more I would like to provide some fields sized bigger....

So I thought lets take the cat1 design (form1) and display it, if the item selected in the gallery has content in a specific field and use cat2 design (form2) if this specific field is empty. This would give me the option to style the form as I need it. I would like to avoid coding all the Xs and Ys with an IF....

Is this somehow possible???

Your help is as all the time very much appreciated - Thanks,

Re: how to hide/show form

You could use two forms that are stacked on top of each other. Then you set the visibility of the forms using a variable that gets sets based on what is selected in your gallery. This is more work to build but it would give you the freedom to design two separate forms on one screen.

Re: how to hide/show form

Hi Jeff,

this is what I am looking for, but as I have absolutely no experience with varibles, could you please be so kind and provide me the right formulas for this context?
