update data in excel ???

I connected my app to my excel file in onedrive and created a form to add or change something and this works fine.

But is there any way to just add data when you edit it in a form, without having the old one replaced? Everytime I press the button with the SubmitForm() function, the old data is replaced by what I inserted into the text input, but for one DataCard, I just want to add something, not replace the old data. How can I do this?

Re: update data in excel ???

Hi @Sab,

1. To do this, first create the auto-generated app by connecting to your Excel table.

2. In this app, on the EditScreen1, select this data card and unclock it.Then set the Visible property of the DataCardValue7 control to false to avoid users editing the exsiting value in this data card.

3. With the data card selected, insert a TextInput1 control.

4. Set the Update property of the data card to:

Concatenate(DataCardValue7.Text," ",TextInput1.Text)

Capture.PNG

After this, when opening the edit screen, your users could only edit values in the Textinput1 control, all before value in DataCardValue7 should still exists.

Please set the DefaultMode property of your form to FormMode.New in order to add data.
