Localized date/time

I would want to be able to get localized day och month names. In Powerapps you can write "[$-sv-SE]mmmm" to get the Swedish month name but that is not possible in Flow.

Use the convertFromUtc function. Just pass in the correct string for your time zone. Here is a link to the time zone strings: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg154758.aspx Example: convertFromUtc(utcNow(),'E. Australia Standard Time','mmmm')

Thank you for taking time to answer!

I’m afraid that doesn’t work, however. My time zone, W. Europe Standard Time, covers, according to the linked page, Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockholm and Vienna. That’s at least 4 different langauages (one of them Swedish).

In case someone needs the month name in German, here is an expression that can be used, e.g. to fill a string variable. It requires an integer type variable 'Monat' containing the number of the month.

if(equals(variables('Monat'),1),'Januar',if(equals(variables('Monat'),2),'Februar',if(equals(variables('Monat'),3),'März',if(equals(variables('Monat'),4),'April',if(equals(variables('Monat'),5),'Mai',if(equals(variables('Monat'),6),'Juni',if(equals(variables('Monat'),7),'Juli',if(equals(variables('Monat'),8),'August',if(equals(variables('Monat'),9),'September',if(equals(variables('Monat'),10),'Oktober',if(equals(variables('Monat'),11),'November',if(equals(variables('Monat'),12),'Dezember','FEHLER'))))))))))))

If 'Monat' is not a value between 1 and 12 then the output is 'FEHLER' (error).

A little sad that we have to fall back to programming stone age with Flow, but at least it works.
