Trigger a flow when an email is sent to an Office 365 group mailbox.
This will be helpful to:
- Save attachments sent to a group to team document library or one drive (something like incoming emails on SharePoint on prem)
- Automate creation of events based on email sent to a group mailbox
Hey folks -
Thank you for the responses.
I am following up with my team to see if we can add a trigger that allows you to trigger a flow off of a mailbox (irrespective of whether a given user is following / not following that mailbox.)
I've solved the problem at my business like this:
1. U can subscribe all message of a group with a "third"-intern mailmox.
2. If there is a new incoming mail with a specific tag (we use by comments every time the @sign) and the text includes PLANNER, then it will send this text to this specific person
This is not a solution. It is a workaround.
Can an update on this be provided please? I believe reading through 16 pages of comments should cover the "Need Info" requirement. Simply the solutions listed here and by Micrsoft are workarounds. I don't want to be personally cc'd on every help request I want to use this for - the whole point of O365 groups and teams is to eliminate redundant email clutter and get collaboration working better. To be honest, this feels like a real miss for Flow and Microsoft
@Sunay , your answer is to the letter correct, but I believe the idea should have been expressed like this:
Trigger a flow when an email is receieved in an Office 365 group mailbox.
I tried to add a picture here as well like you did, but could not find any upload picture... So I saved it in my OneDrive and below is a link to it:
@Sunay , I managed to upload the picture.
This is how I could see it look like
