Azure SQL (SaaS) as data source in PowerApps

Hello Team,

I have created Azure SQL SaaS database and connected to PowerApps.

I have data table control on my app which display the data and then I have form on the same screen. when I add field to the form as data card, It(data card) containts key and value cards as labels. I need Key as Lable and value as Input text box so when I submit the form I can write those values to Azure SQL DB.

What I have noticed is, When I add a field to the form, I see "EDIT" control type for the field is missing. Can you please help? Appreciate your response.

Hi @vshah804

In addition to the other comments above, can you confirm that your table in Azure SQL has a primary key defined?

Here is a related post on the same issue.

Did you make sure that it was an 'Edit' form that you added to the Screen?  The form itself is specific to either edit or display.  Edit forms can be set to View mode, but Display forms don't have an Edit mode. If you add the wrong one then the fields will default to that mode. If the form doesn't have a Default Mode property then its not an Edit form its a Display form.

Re: Azure SQL (SaaS) as data source in PowerApps

Hi @vshah804 ,

Do you mean that only ActivityID filed can't be edited or all the fields can't be edited?

Could you tell me the data type of ActivityID?

Is this a system field?

If so, the system field is read-only in PowerApps. You could only view it without editing it.

What's more, make sure that you insert an Edit form and its mode is edit or new, not view.

Hello, You are correct. I was missing the primary Key in the table. Thank you for your help.
