Filter Sharepoint List by Assigned To

I have a simple app in Sharepiont probably based on the TASKS app.  I have an Assigned To field that is type Person or Group.  I select the person and the field then shows the name of the person.

In Power Apps I've looked at dozens of solutions to filter this data by the person it is assigned to and none of those work.

What is the correct way to filter by Assigned To in Power Apps?

Re: Filter Sharepoint List by Assigned To

Hi @smsdavis,

Could you please share a bit more about your Filter formula within your app?

Do you enable "Allow Multiple Selections" option for the Assigned To column?

If you have enabled "Allow Multiple Selections" option for the Assigned To column (In default, the Assigned To column has been enabled "Allow Multiple Selections" option), I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:14.JPG

Set the Items property of the Gallery control to following:

Filter('20180510_case4',User().Email in 'Assigned To'.Email)

On your side, you should type the following:

Filter('YourSPTaskList',User().Email in 'Assigned To'.Email)
Filter('YourSPTaskList',"The Specific Email Address" in 'Assigned To'.Email)

If you don't enable "Allow Multiple Selections" option for the Assigned To column, please take a try with the following formula:

Filter('YourSPTaskList',User().Email = 'Assigned To'.Email)
Filter('YourSPTaskList',"The Specific Email Address" in 'Assigned To'.Email)

Best regards,

Kris

Filter(source, AssignedTo.Email="email")

Re: Filter Sharepoint List by Assigned To

Perhaps try something like

Filter(SharePointList, AssignedTo = User().Email)

This would filter the list by column 'Assigned To' and would only return items where the entered data (e.g. email addresses or names) match the credentials of the person looking at it.
