Can I use filter function for large dataset .I want to filter by date and show list of data.I am using the below formula but I am getting Delegation error.
Is there any other function apart from FILTER for large dataset filtering.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi @NikhilB ,
Firstly, you should change your position of ")", change to:
Secondly, only the lookup funtion is delegable by using datetime data type.
However, the lookup funtion only returns the first record that meets the formula. It's a little different from Filter.
I suggest you split your table every 2000 records to avoid the delegation warning.
Here's a doc about delegable funtions when the app is connected with SQL Sever for your reference:

Remember that DataTime values contain both a date and a time (down to the millisecond). So the change that the Dates and Times will match exactly is versy small. For this kind of filter its usually best to create an additional column in the datasource either by AddColumn or actually in the database if its available to you that contains a Text version of just the Month/Day/Year. Then set a variable to the month/day/year of the selecteddate in the date picker and you can actually use the '=' comparison.
Note: if you do it using Addcolumn the filter will not be delegable, but if you actually add a column to the database it will be delegable.
