Gallery of accessible apps, and launching from within already running app.

Hi,

I have been asked to provide a solution for our company.  We have several different departments using totally separate apps, but each department uses more than one, sometimes up to 6 or 7 different apps.

They would like to be able to launch a new app from within an already running app, and would like to see a screen, possibly a gallery, showing only the apps that have been shared with them.

I'm not at all convinced this is currently possible, but wondered if anyone has tried this, or has had any joy with this kind of thing.

What they are looking for, in essence, is an in-app version of the MY APPS list when you first open PowerApps on a mobile device.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Matty.

Re: Gallery of accessible apps, and launching from within already running app.

Hi Matty!
I think you can use PowerApps Makers connector to get list of apps.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/powerappsforappmakers/#get-apps

Get Apps action in this connector returns Display name of apps and IDs of apps.
Inside some gallery, add button control and set OnSelect property as Launch(ThisItem.properties.appOpenProtocolUri), so user can launch app from running app.

Thanks,
