In detail screen the radio buttons will show the list value and not be blank

 Newby here.

In my edit /add screen I have radio buttons that choose [YEs, No, N/A].

The text filed updates thru e.g.  rbtn16_1.Selected.Value when submitted.

The detail screen however just shows no value when browsing.

How can I get the radio buttons to show the value from the list just like in InfoPath?

Ta muchly.

Re: In detail screen the radio buttons will show the list value and not be blank

Hi @Wapfunz,

Have you taken a try with the solution I provided?

Do you connect the Radio button control to the column in your SP list?

I think the solution I provided above could achieve your needs. Within your Edit Screen, please make sure the Radio button controls connect to corresponding columns in your SP list.

Set the Default property of the Radio button to following:

If(
    EditForm1.Mode=FormMode.New,
    Blank(),
    ThisItem.RadioColumnName
)

E.G. Set the Default property of the 1.1_Last Inspection Reviewed? Radio button to following:

If(
    EditForm1.Mode=FormMode.New,
    Blank(),
    ThisItem.1.1_Last Inspection Reviewed?
)

Best regards,

Kris

Re: In detail screen the radio buttons will show the list value and not be blank

Hi @Wapfunz

Could you please share a screenshot about your app's configuration?

Do the Radio buttons connect to columns in your SP list?

Further, do you want to display the value from your SP list through the Radio buttons within your Detail Screen?

I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:2.JPG

Within the Detail Screen, add a Radio button control within the Radio1Value Data card instead of Original Label control.

Set the Default property of the Radio button to following:

ThisItem.Radio1Value /**<-- Radio1Value is a Single line of text type column in my SP list /

On your side, you should type following:

ThisItem.RadioColumnName /* <-- RadioColumnName represents the column in your SP list to store the Radio button value */

The GIF screenshot as below:Test1.gif

In addition, within your Edit/Add Screen, set the Default property of the Radio button to following:

If(
    EditForm1.Mode=FormMode.New,
    Blank(),
    ThisItem.RadioColumnName
)

Best regards,

Kris

Re: In detail screen the radio buttons will show the list value and not be blank

Thank you for your knnidly response.

The radio buttons are connected to columns in the list.

Display in edit mode the value from the list.

In add/new mode - blank radio buttons.
