Loading data into display form via the Foreign Key

Hello All!

I'm very new to PowerApps, and currently learning the basics. I've created a basic screen with two edit forms, and thanks to the help from Russel on this thread (https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Discussion/Creating-a-form-and-pass-through-a-foreign-ke...), I was able to submit my form and create a row in both of my tables by passing through the Primary Key on the Header table, to the Foreign Key on my message table.

I now want to load this data in a read-only form. For the header table, which controls everything, and I've done this by speciifying on my header form 'ListOfRequests.Selected' (ListOfRequests is my gallery control on the homepage).

How do I then get my second form, the messagedetailform, to show the row where the HeaderId equals the Id on the header form / table?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Kind Regards,

Dayna

Re: Loading data into display form via the Foreign Key

Hello,

I don't think so, as it would be to load the data, rather than what was submitted. If I've misunderstood your suggestion then I apologise.

I managed to get the data in by performing a filter by passing through the Id on the header table as a parameter and querying this on the 'Item' property on the form:

First(Filter('[Request].[MessageDetails]', HeaderId=requestNumber))

Kind Regards,

Dayna

Re: Loading data into display form via the Foreign Key

Will messagedetailform.LastSubmit.Id works the same way?
