No Update function on edit form. Not able to to change regarding field on form to submit.

This is my second app I've worked on and I'm trying to add a new note on a edit form. Both of my apps are connected to Dynamics 365 and on the app in question, when I open a new edit form I can only get inputs for Title and Description but not for Regarding and Regarding type. On the first app I created I was able to do this no problem, all I had to do was select both regarding fields and the app automatically added the input fields. When I do the same on the second app I get no input fields (Attached)Capture.JPGThe app in question that is not allowing me to adit regarding type and regardingCapture1.JPGWhat I expected since this is what was available on the first app as shown

Hi @ajnunezjr,

It may have something to do with this setting.  advanced settings.PNG

Re: No Update function on edit form. Not able to to change regarding field on form to submit.

Hi @ajnunezjr,

If you set the default mode of the form to New, the missing textinput controls should show.  If you have the Item property of the form set such as Gallery1.Selected, your Textboxes should also show. The reason you aren't seeing them is probably because your form detault mode is Edit and you haven't got an Item property for the form selected yet.

Hi @ajnunezjr,

Can you share a bit more about your issue?

Did you make any changes to the edit form?

Do you mean that the combo box control does not display ?

Please check if  the DefaultMode property of the edit form is set to FormMode.View.

Regards,

Eason

Re: No Update function on edit form. Not able to to change regarding field on form to submit.

@Drrickryp Thank you for your responce however I've done what you mentioned and this does not resolve the issue. I now believe the issue is not with the form type but more with my data source.

Heres why,

I'm connecting to Dynamics 365 and in the app that does work the way I want when I need to add a field in the gallery rows showing my Account records I do so by referencing the schema ie. "ThisItem.name". Now in the app that doesnt work as expected it instead references the fields by the display name for some reason ie. "ThisItem.'Account Name' ". I'm relatively new to powerapps so this dosnt make sence as to why it's different but this is the only difference I can see between the two. Does this sound familiar to you? Thank you for your time and effort.
