Planner Connector , cannot update task in plan that is shared with me.

Hello All,

I have created an App that on start creates a series of planner tasks and automatically shares the plan with the users manager, using a combination of both the office365groups connector and the office365users connector.

The Manager can see their direct reports plan by using the planner connector function "Planner.ListMyPlans().value".
However I want to allow the Manager to update tasks in the plan also, but when using "Planner.UpdateTask(TaskListGallery.Selected.id,{percentComplete:"Completed"})" I recieve this error:

I have tried making the manager a Owner of the office365 group connected to the plan, but this has not resolved the issue.
I have also tested and the manager can directly edit the direct reports planner tasks through the planner website. (So it's not a permission issue in planner at least).

I have a feeling that the connector and function Planner.UpdateTask just does not allow you to update a task unless you are the creator of the plan, regardless if it has been shared with you later.

If anyone is able to validate/replicate this issue please let me know.

Hi,

You need to use: Planner.UpdateTask(TaskListGallery.Selected.id,{percentComplete:100})...

0     -> Not started

50   -> In Progress

100->Completed

Re: Planner Connector , cannot update task in plan that is shared with me.

This is the correct way.

First you need to put in any variable the progress like Planner has, including capital letters:

No Started

In Progress

Completed

You  need to use a variable and for this case would be: wkStatus =' "Completed" ' , in case you have combo box you need to use Trim(wkStatus).

You need to use: Planner.UpdateTask(TaskListGallery.Selected.id,{percentComplete:Trim(wkStatus)})...

Sorry for my previous post!!
