We are a local government agency with a G3 license for O365 and have been using PA for over a year with good results. All we use it for is to connect to our SharePoint365 site. No advanced features are being used. Recently, my users started getting the 'trial period' message and I noticed that the PowerApp wasn't in our list of Products. Plus all the users seemed to have the Plan 2 Trial as their license.
Support (in a very confusing and bumbling manner) SEEMED to suggest that we NOW have to purchase license and it's not part of our G3 Plan. Kind of and add-on like Project.
Can anyone confirm that? Seems pretty evil to pull a bait-and-switch like this but not impossible. I'd hate to have to scuttle a years worth of work for budget reasons but it could come to that.
After some research, according to the documentation Office 365 US Government, it seems that PowerApps should be available for Office 365 US Government G3 plan. But there is an "11" notice for this feature, and it states that
"Not yet available In Office 365 US Government offerings, but coming soon. >"
Sorry for the inconvenience, but so far I'm afraid that you might need to wait until this feature become avaiable.
Mona, thanks for that. It DOES seem to make sense EXCEPT that we've been using PowerApps for over a year and have a few apps in full production. We've had the same license type all that time. PLUS, it seems that we are more than allowed to PAY for it now if we choose.
So if it's GOING to be included, how have we had it for so long already? And if it's not "ready" yet (lets say for security reasons or some such), why can I buy it and use it?

We are sort of in a similar boat and have been trying to do research about this as well. It looks like before it was 'released' to the GCC cloud, we were using it on the public cloud. Once they turned on the GCC cloud, we lost the ability to even assign roles in our environment without this 'plan 2 license' nonsense. Have you had any luck yet?
