PowerApps and Sharepoint List access permission

Hello,

I wonder is a user submit a form via PowerApps, whose data is stored in a SharePoint List. Will the user then automatically be granted permission to view the SharePoint List, assumming that the user don't have access to the SharePoint List in the first place?

Re: PowerApps and Sharepoint List access permission

Hi anguyen,

Before you share an app that is based on SharePoint list, you need to share the list with users with Edit or View permission. Otherwise, shared user won’t be able to access or submit data to the data source.

Please check reference documentations about sharing app and resources:

Hey Anguyen,

I recently posted a video explaining how to set item level security on List Items from within your PowerApp using SP Rest API.

@ChinoDoesStuffthank you so much!!  This video is exactly what I needed.  If I have two approvers do I have to do the steps over again for each?

Hi Amy...

No you shouldn't have to repeat each step, just make sure you include each user that is required for the add user step.
