Powerapps interprets line of code differently for users when launching SMS

Everyone in the company has iPhones and uses iMessage. So this part of the application is to launch a group text.

Launch("sms:/open?addresses=" & usersPhoneNumber);

usersPhoneNumber is a string with phone numbers separated by commas.

This works for nearly everyone. The problem is there are 3 users for which, if they are signed in, the line does not work, and the Launch function opens sms and tries to contact “/open”.

If I (or another user) signs in on their device, it works perfectly. If they sign in on one of my devices, it does not work. So it is not a problem with ios version or anything related to the phone.

So my thought is it must be user based, due to either powerapps, or office365. But I have looked in all the obvious places. License is the same, settings appear to be the same.

Any idea what could cause this? Where else should I look?

Re: Powerapps interprets line of code differently for users when launching SMS

Hi @j272chan ,

Try this formula:

Launch("sms:"&"/open?addresses=" & usersPhoneNumber);

Here's a similar issue for your reference:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Expressions-and-Formulas/Launch-sms-Android/m-p/246844

What's more, please check that are all users in the same group, do they all have permission to run this app?

Don't foreget to make all users have permission to use data source.
