Refresh Data from SQL Database in Power Apps

Hi All,

We have created a Power App from MS SQL Sever database table to store Comments and Flags which was entered by user in power BI report using Power Apps. how to automatically refresh the data as soon as comment is entered by user.

Also it should display comments entered by user instantly in Power BI report.

Please note that we have used import method in Power BI report.

Re: Refresh Data from SQL Database in Power Apps

Hi @Jagan1

Could you please share more details of your situation?

Do you want to refresh data from PowerApp side?

If you connect the SQL table as one connection, when you change your data on App side, it will refresh the table on SQL side.

More information:

add-data-connection

connection-azure-sqldatabase

Hope this could be helpful.

Best Regards.

Re: Refresh Data from SQL Database in Power Apps

Hi Yuma,

Thanks for your reply. Actually Power App connected to on premises database table. Requirement is like when user enters a comment in power app using power bi report then it should reflect it in power bi report instantly.

Please note that Power BI report is using import method to coonect to dataset. We are merging this Power app stand alone table with existing table in power BI and try to refresh it. Data is reflecting in the report only after the dataset is being refreshed manually and it is taking around 15mis to refresh. I want data to be displayed instantly as soon as user enters a comment through power bi.

Attaching the screen capture which provides related information.

Is there a way we can achieve this??

Regards

Jagan

Hi @Jagan1

Yes, I test on my side, you need to refresh on PowerBI side by mannual currently.

However I am not sure whether use Flow  can achieve what you need.

You can also post here:
