Sending push notification to recipients not working

Hello,

For some reason my push notifications stopped working witht he following formula. This was working about 2 weeks ago. If i enter the emails manually it works, for example: recipients: [ "email1@test.com", "email2@test.com"].

PowerAppsNotification.SendPushNotification({
  recipients:ForAll(SharepointPoint_List, Email),
  message:"Test",openApp:true
})

When i look at the SharepointPoint_List collection via Concat(SharepointPoint_List, Email & "; "), I get my list of emails as expected. Am I missing something?

Re: Sending push notification to recipients not working

Hi @Owizardo ,

Have you solved your problem?

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. On your side, please consider modify your formula as below:

Refresh(SharepointPoint_List);  /* <-- Add formula here */
PowerAppsNotification.SendPushNotification({ recipients: ForAll(SharepointPoint_List, {Value: Email}), /* <-- Modify formula here */ message: "Test",
openApp: true })

Note: I assume that the Email column is a Text type column in your SharepointPoint_List data source.

Curruently, there is no official article mentioned about the limit on the amount of emails added as recipients within the push notification.

Based on the issue that you mentioned, please make sure the new emails added in your SharepointPoint_List is valid.

Currently, there is some limits within Push Notification in PowerApps, please check the following artilce:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/add-notifications#known-limitations

If you have solved your problem, please go ahead to click "Accept as Solution" to identify this thread has been solved.

Re: Sending push notification to recipients not working

When you look at the Concat of your SharePoint list is there any chance that one of the email fields is empty?  Check to see if there are any double semicolons in the Concat string.  That might throw of the batch send of the email.

Re: Sending push notification to recipients not working

I finally got it working but not too sure why it didnt work. Basically I noticed there were new emails added to the list and removed them and it started working again.

Im thinking that as you were mentioning maybe one of those were causing my issue. But just to double check is there a limit to how many emails im allowed to push?

Re: Sending push notification to recipients not working

There is probably some kind of limit, but its probably a limit to the length of the string rather than the number of emails.  I'm not sure what it would be though.  I would check your concat string and see how long it is.  If its more than 1024 characters that could be a problem.

Re: Sending push notification to recipients not working

Could I just ask why you think i should modify the code? I really just want to understand what the advantages are vs what I have.
