Show column names in dropdown

Hi

How  can I get a dropdown box to show me the column names as the items

So I'm looking for what formula I should use in my Items of the dropdown

Something like ShowALLcolumnamaes(Table1)

Thanks

Jese

Re: Show column names in dropdown

I don't believe such a formula exists today. Can you tell me what you are trying to achieve from it, maybe I can help you with that.

Re: Show column names in dropdown

Hi @jesenavaranjan,

I don't think its possible to have the column names obtained from a formula.  You could load the column names in a dropbox manually as follows:  Set the Items property of the Dropdown as

["Column1","Column2","Column3"]

Hi

I just did a video on this in my Power-N-Apps show.

Using flow , it is possible to get column names, there are a few steps involved but once you set this up, it will really helpful for any data source.

Thanks

Re: Show column names in dropdown

I want to filter my view in SQL, which is based on a search box and  a dropdown with a column name

I can't get this to work, is this possible?

the attached picture explains my problem

within the dropbox, I have 'Name' 'Description' which are fields within my SQL view gallery

So if Name is selected, the user can search by name

If description is selected, the user can search by description

Please and thank you

Use the Get Rows SQL action in Flow and check what output you get in the Body of Get rows.
