Submit Partial Form

Hi,

I have splitted sharepoint list of 30 items into 3,10,5,6 items in 4 screens. I want to submit partical filled form as in lets say till screen 1(3 fileds) + Screen 2(6 fields). How can i do this? (Submit form does not allow as there are some mandatory fields and some not)

Also if user has to come back and fill remaining fileds, how can i do that?

Thanks!

Sagar

Re: Submit Partial Form

Hi @sagarrai

You won't be able to submit the creation/edition of an item in a SharePoint if all mandatory fields are not filled-in.

I suggest you to remove the mandatory attribute to all the fields that are not mandatory to submit.

Then you can submit several form into one item using the Patch() function :

Creation :
Patch('SP List',Defaults('SP List'),Form1.Updates,Form2.Updates,Form3.Updates,Form4.Updates)

Edition:
Patch('SP List',LookUp('SP List',ID=1),Form1.Updates,Form2.Updates,Form3.Updates,Form4.Updates)

You can create a "draft" status. The user can submit the item creation with a draft status with a very few fields (maybe only Title which is mandatory in SP) completed, so he can come back later on his draft to finish the completion. If he wants to submit is item to another status, then you check in powerapps that all required field are completed.
