Unable to create app from sharepoint list

When I create an app from a sharepoint list, the default app begins with this error:

The requested operation is invalid.

Server Response: The expression "*,Title,NewColumn1,Assigned_x0020_rates/Title,Status,Status_x0020_note,Executed,Expiration,Contract_x0020...

Name,Editor/Name,Assigned_x0020_rates/Rate Abbreviation" is

not valid.

I noticed that it will "deselect" my data source. Reselecting the data source will cause the error to briefly go away, then it comes right back.

I would like to know how to resolve the error so that I can work with my data.

I am relatively new to powerapps, so I appreciate any help and direction you can give me.

Thanks!

Re: Unable to create app from sharepoint list

I resolved my issue by re-creating the list.

I am not sure what caused the problem, but it's fixed now. Thanks for the help!

Re: Unable to create app from sharepoint list

To me it sounds like an error with rights to the data.  When I shared my app to others, they would get an error similar when they tried opening the app, but didn't have rights to the data source.  I'm still new to Powerapps and learning as well.  Hopefully this helps.

Re: Unable to create app from sharepoint list

Hi @JoshBrown,

Could you please share more information about the SharePoint list, is it a custom list?

Currently PowerApps only supports to generate App from the SharePoint custom List, other list types may not work as expected.

Further, there are some known issues when working with SharePoint list in PowerApps, check the following article for more details:

Connect from Microsoft PowerApps to SharePoint

Report which function you used and which generates this error.

Explain your problem better

Re: Unable to create app from sharepoint list

As stated I am new to powerapps. This is using the default app. I am not sure what function generates the error because all I did was click "new app from data" and navigated to my sharepoint list, selecting it as my data source.

Is there a way to view and edit the underlying query in power apps? If so, how? I have not been able to find a way to do this.

Thanks

Hi @JoshBrown,

Please follow the article below to modify the query with the items property of the Gallery:
