I am new to Powerapps. I have created one app to capture data, it has 3 screens. When I am entering detail screen from Browse Gallery, the data which is returned from sharepoint is having some strange codes. How to correct/remove the codes returned.

Re: detail screen problem

I'm guessing the SharePoint column that uses rich text:

Like in the example below:

If this is the case, then what you're seeing in PowerApps is how the data is encoded in SharePoint. If you want to see it decoded, you can replace the existing label control that displays the value of the column with the HTML Text control, which knows how to display rich text. The screen capture below shows how this can be done, and the steps are listed after that.

HtmlTextToRichTextColumn.gif

1. Select the data card that displays the column you want to fix

2. On the right-side pane, select 'Advanced' then 'Unlock to change properties', so that you can replace the default control

3. In the Insert tab in the ribbon, select the 'Text' group, then add a 'HTML Text' control

4. Move it so that it is located in the same place as the existing label control

5. Update its HtmlText property wit the value 'Parent.Default' (no single quotes) - this will give it the value for the column, which is stored in the data card.

6. Go to the properties pane, and set its 'Auto height' property to true (this is important so that the card will expand if the text spans multiple lines)

7. Select the label control, and remove it.

With this you should have the data displayed as you see it on SharePoint.
