Concat expression error

Hello,

Il would like to concatenate 2 columns from a Sharepoint List to one column in another list.
I have this formula :

concat(triggerBody()?['Adress_x0020_email'],triggerBody()?['Email_x0020__x0028_main_x0020_by'])

Column Adress Email is a single line of text, and column Email main by is a choice type.
The problem is that it gives me this value : TEST.TEST3[{"Id":0,"Value":"@gmail.com"}].

So I guess the error is in the 2nd column.

If I only chose only chose Email main by Value, it automatically creates a "apply to each". Is it a problem in the column type ?

Could you help me ?

I you need further information, please ask me.

Thank you !

Re: Concat expression error

Hi @Martindeter,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Could you please show a bit more about your SharePoint lists?

Further, do you enable "Allow multiple selections" option for the Choice type column (Email main by) within your SharePoint list?

I think there is something wrong with the formula that you provided. I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned.

I have created a SharePoint list on my side and the data structure of it as below:7.JPG

Note: The Address Email column is a Single line of text type column, The Email main by column is a Choice type column which doesn't enable "Allow multiple selections" option.

Please take a try with the following workaround:

  • Add a "When an item is created" trigger, specify Site Address and List Name.
  • Add a "Create item" action, specify Site Address and list Name. The Concat Result field set to following formula:
concat(triggerBody()?['Address_x0020_email'],triggerBody()?['Email_x0020_main_x0020_by']?['Value'])

Image reference:9.JPG

The flow works successfully as below:8.JPG

Please check if you have enable the "Allow multiple selections" option for the Choice type column within your SharePoint list. I have made a test on my side, if you enable the "Allow multiple selections" option for the Choice type column within a SharePoint list, when you choose the Email main by Value dynamic content, it would create a "Apply to each" automatically.

Please take a try to disable the "Allow multiple selections" option for the Choice type column within your SharePoint list, then try your flow again to check if the issue is solved.

Best regards,

Kris
